Food Pantry

The Food Pantry at St. Patrick’s Kiefer Hall, Forestport, is open by appointment.  For food assistance, please call 315-507-0547, and leave a message with your unblocked phone number.  A volunteer will return your call to schedule an appointment.

Phyllis Canova and Mary Mulchy are the Coordinators for the St. Patrick’s Food Pantry.

The Thrift Shop at St. Patrick’s is open to everyone Saturday 10am to noon with a $2 bag sale every Saturday.

 

Want to help?  There are 2 ways you can help the Food Pantry and Thrift Shop:

  1. Non-perishable food and monetary donations are always welcome and appreciated.
  2. Drop off clothes for donations to our Clothes Drop Box located outside the Thrift Shop.

Youth Programs

The Forestport Youth Recreation Program strives to provide engaging educational and physical fitness opportunities for the children of Forestport. Some of our seasonal activities include:

Summer Recreation Program – Kids ages 7-12 gather at the Forestport Town Hall for five weeks in the summer three days a week, three hours per day.

Ski Programs –

  • Children ages 7-17 are invited to learn to downhill ski at McCauley Mountain under the direction of TJ Entwistle and the McCauley Mountain Ski School. Lift tickets, ski rentals and lessons are included at no cost to parents.
  • Intermediate ski programs – Semi experienced skiers ages 7-17 with their own equipment have the opportunity to explore other ski areas in a supervised setting. Contact TJ Entwistle at 315-796-5590 for more information.

The Forestport Senior Recreation Program is designed to encourage seniors, (55+), to take part in fun activities and get out and socialize! Some of our activities include:

Senior Outings – Seniors are invited to take part in various bus trips throughout the region, experiencing all the wonders New York State has to offer! Scenic chairlift rides, museums, boat tours, shopping and animal exhibits are just a few! Always paired with lunch or dinner, and a coach bus escort, there is a small cost associated with each excursion. Watch our website and the Boonville Herald for upcoming outings throughout the year!
