PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Entwistle at 6:30 P.M.
ABSTRACTS:
GENERAL:
A motion was made by Councilwoman Verschneider and seconded by Councilman Addison to pay Abstract #8, Vouchers #487-#575 in the amount of $125,322.57

HIGHWAY:
A motion was made by Councilman Addison and seconded by Councilwoman Abrial to pay Abstract #8, Vouchers #173- #199 in the amount of $20,809.04

WATER DISTRICT #1:
A motion was made by Councilwoman Abrial and seconded by Councilwoman Verschneider to pay Abstract#7, Vouchers #75- #82in the amount of $35,624.96.

SEWER DISTRICT #1:
A motion was made by Councilman Addison and seconded by Councilwoman Abrial to pay Abstract#8, Voucher #41-45in the amount of $4,385.29

A motion was made by Councilman Scouten and seconded by Councilman Addison to accept the minutes from the:

A motion was made by Councilwoman Verschneider and seconded by Councilman Addison to accept the monthly reports.

NOCCOG: Mr. Rowlands went over monthly announcements.

WATER:
SEWER: The Sewer project should be starting in a couple weeks.
BUCKHORN: There was a big water leak and it was found yesterday.
UNFINISHED BOARD:
• Round Lake Road Bridge: The bridge project has started and the bridge is out and will stay out until Mid-November.
• Old Forestport Days 5k: There are currently around 80 signed up for the 5K and Kids fun run. It is being held on August 28th.
• Old Forestport Days: The town is sponsoring a Fishing Derby, Saturday, August 29th 7am-12 at the Forestport pond. There is a kids and adult derby. The Kids Zone this year has a bounce house, face painting and a pie eating contest. The Fire department is having a Chicken Riggie Dinner and Cornhole this year.
• Town Hall Boilers:

A motion was made by Councilman Addison and seconded by Councilman Scouten to approve the above quote from HJ Brandeles Corp.

• AI Farms: Supervisor Entwistle stated there was a fantastic turnout at last month’s board meeting regarding the AI/Data Centers. Jessica, the Town Attorney is working on a draft Local Law as the public input is instrumental.
• Motion for Town Historian
A motion was made by Councilman Addison and seconded by Councilwoman Abrial to approve JoAnn Ballard as the new Town Historian.

NEW BOARD BUSINESS:
• Youth Program Grant: The town received a grant from the Community Foundation for $26,000. The breakdown is $7,000 for staff, $7,000 for trips and supplies, $2,000 for administration and $10,500 security cameras. The cameras are currently on order.
• Town Hall Keypad: The installation for the keypad is almost complete.
• NorthStar Ambulance: NorthStar Ambulance has experienced a health issue at their main base and have come to the Forestport Town Hall temporarily. Supervisor Entwistle is reaching out to them to see how long they are staying because they will be unable to house them all during the winter months. So far it is working out well though.
• Senior Rec trips: There are two trips that are scheduled:
September 19th: Raquette Lake Boat Tour and
October 3rd : McCauley Mountain

Signups are with the Town Clerk and the limit is 39.

• PBA Resignation: Supervisor Entwistle thanked Kim Lambert for her service. The position will be advertised.

A motion was made by Councilman Addison and seconded by Councilwoman Abrial to accept Kim Lambert’s resignation from the Planning Board of Appeals.

• After School Art Club: This will run September 3rd-May 27th 3PM-6PM, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
NEW BUSINESS PUBLIC:
• Maggie Peterson asked how the town was making out with the electronic sign. Supervisor Entwistle stated he has not had any luck. She asked for their names and number so she could contact them herself.
ADJOURNMENT:
A motion was made by Councilman Addison and seconded by Councilwoman Verschneider to adjourn the meeting.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:57 P.M. by Supervisor Entwistle.
