PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
October 8, 2025

• Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm
• August 13, 2025 Minutes approved (DeTraglia/Terry)
New Business:
o Vincent/Marie Guerro: Boundary Line Amendment, Tax ID 26.000-2-39
Hemlock Rd, Bear Creek Lodges (A. Bailey)
Approved (Daktor/DeTraglia; Terry recused himself)
o Bruce Petronio: 2-Lot Subdivision, Tax ID 67.002-1-14.1
Little Woodhull Creek/Kincaid Road (D. Frymire)
Public Hearing scheduled for Nov. 12, 6:30 pm (Terry/Daktor)
Old Business:
o Amend prior approval of Reith subdivision to “contingent on APA approval” [2-Lot Subdivision, Tax ID 8.000-1-2.3, 13422 Rt. 28] Note: the County 239 request has been approved
Discussion:
Possible permits and regulation of Small Box Discount stores in Forestport:
Discussion centered around recommendations from the Comprehensive Plan, the current moratorium on small box stores, and how the issue can be addressed going forward.
o Noted that without zoning there is a growing need for an update of the Site Review Law to address more ‘current’ issues.
o It was suggested that the moratorium be extended until the SRL is amended to encompass current issues. (Grants are being pursued to fund an update)
o The possibility and scope of amendments to the SRL, with building restrictions laid out, until the Law has been updated were discussed.
o It was felt that oversight by the Town’s attorney would be helpful in negotiating any changes
The item was tabled for further discussion.
